Lowell W. Jones

Lowell W. Jones passed away on November 30, 2019, at St. Catherine Hospital. Lowell was born on December 24, 1934, on the family farm in the township of Roanoke. He was the fourth child of Harold and Georgella (Hoffman) Jones. He married May Rutlege on September 17, 1956, in Reno, Nevada. She preceded him in death on May 25, 2002. He then married Pat Lane on July 4, 2005, in Johnson.
Lowell was a Master Electrician for over 40 years owning L&M Electric and the Western Auto Store. He was a jack of all trades and a master of many. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Masonic Lodge #441 for over 50 years. Lowell entered into service on December 4, 1952; he was a corporal in the US Army. Lowell had a sharp sense of humor, strong family bonds, and a passion for woodworking.
Lowell is survived by Pat; daughters, Misty Neuman and Linda Briggs; son, John Holder; stepdaughter, Debbie Lijewski; stepson, Greg Kokemueller; grandchildren, Michael Roark, Ryan Neuman, Kelly Holder, and Kyle Holder; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Drew, Gwen Barrett, Jerry Jones and wife Sandy, and Nancy Banuelos and husband Octavio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, May, son Edward, daughter Tina, brother Keith, and sister Cindy.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church with Reverend Kurt Rovenstine officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Masonic Lodge #441 in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 715, Johnson, Kansas 67855. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com.
