Louvernia “Tootie” Lucille Parkin, 75, of Liberal, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Wheatridge Care Park in Liberal, KS.

She was born on May 21, 1943 to Vernon and Lucille (Kirk) Woodward at Tahlequah, OK.

Tootie grew up in Tahlequah, OK; she came to Liberal, KS in 1958. In 1977 she moved to Greensburg, KS where she worked at Burkes Cafe until 1984. She then moved back to Liberal in 1988; going to work at Southwest Medical Center as a Dietary Aide, retiring in 2005 after 17 years. She enjoyed collecting owls, dancing, cooking, yard work, tending to her flower gardens. She was a member of Cherokee Tribe.

Tootie is survived by her Son – Kevin Smith and wife Ann of Oakley, KS; Two Brothers- Ronald Woodward of Wagner, OK, Uryeal Woodward of Anderson, SC; Four Sisters- Easther Smith of Hooker, OK, Bernice Woodward of Hooker, OK, Diane Ells of Wagner, OK, Carol Sandmeier of Marienthal, KS; Four Grandsons- Brandon Fulbright of Oklahoma City, OK, Curtis Hoffman of Oklahoma City, OK, Keenan Smith of Oakley, KS, and Kendrick Smith of Oakley, KS; Granddaughter- Kelsey Plummer of Oakley, KS; two great grandchildren – Maddox Fulbright and Charles Plummer; best friend of 70 years – Gerry Wolf of Liberal and long time companion – Robin Hood Sr. of Texas County, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Son – Allen Davis, Daughter – Margene Barber, Four Brothers and One Sister.

Viewing will be 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, KS.

Funeral services will 11:00 am Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at the Miller Mortuary Chapel, with Cory Barnett, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Liberal City Cemetery.
