Lotte G. Headrick

Lotte G. Headrick, 73, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away September 17, 2014 at Integris Bass Baptist Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma.

Lotte was born August 10, 1941 in Dudweiler, Germany, the daughter of Nicholas and Katherine Gruen and sister to ten brothers and sisters. During and after her high school education she worked in a bakery for a family she dearly loved.

She met and dated James Headrick, who was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Air Force. They dated until 1964 when James was relocated to the U.S. and later in May of 1964 Lotte came to the U.S.

On May 14, 1964 Lotte and James were married in Hooker, Oklahoma. They made their first in Enid, Oklahoma where they lived for seven months and then moved with friends to Chicago, Illinois. Lotte worked for a plastics company for two years. They then moved to Long Beach, California where they lived from 1967 to 1976. In 1976 they moved back to Hooker.

Lotte enjoyed crafts like crocheting and she dearly loved to be outside in her garden and yard.

She is survived by her husband, James of the home; two sons, Eldon Dale Headrick of Hooker, Oklahoma; Clendon James Headrick of Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Mona and David Schoonover of Nacogdoches, Texas and Andrea and Scott Starks of Agency, Missouri; five grandchildren, Daniel and Lacey Schoonover, Nicole and Kris Westcott, Leyton Starks, Autumn Starks, Alandra Starks; three great grandchildren, Isaac, Aubrey and Adelyn Schoonover.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the United Methodist Church in Hooker, Oklahoma with Rev. Les Bussell officiating.
