Hi, I’m Loren Edward Naylor and my time here on earth with you ended on Friday, June 15, 2018. I was born on November 19, 1937 to Orion C. Naylor and Ruby Mae (Rose) Naylor in Lincoln County, Oklahoma near Chandler, one of five siblings.
After graduating from Shamrock, Oklahoma High School in 1956, I moved to Liberal, Kansas and went to work for the Rock Island Railroad. I continued my railroad career for 43 years working for the subsequent Southern Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads, retiring in December 1999 in Amarillo, Texas.
Shortly after moving to Liberal, Kansas in 1956, I met and married Margaret C. Hill and of this union, five children were born. We later divorced. I enjoyed and cherished my old cars all throughout the years, and i loved dancing, and was a member of the Western Swing Music Society of the Southwest.
I was preceded in death by one brother, Darrell Ray Naylor.
I am survived by two brothers: John Wayne Naylor of Drumright, Oklahoma and Harrold E. Naylor of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Elsie Ketchum of Purcell, Oklahoma; three sons: Robert D. Naylor of Turpin, Oklahoma, John C. Naylor of Wellsville, Kansas and Kelly Naylor of Turpin, Oklahoma; two daughters: Cindy Brockhoff of Wichita, Kansas and Lorenda Naylor of Bellaire, Maryland; and the love of my life, Dortha M. Robinett of Turpin, Oklahoma; as well as many friends on the dance floor.
Graveside services will be at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon, Oklahoma on Saturday morning, June 23rd at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rex Petty officiating. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
