Loreine Addington

Loreine Addington, age 99, formerly of Elkhart, Kansas, died Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas. She was born August 3, 1921, in Elkhart, Kansas, the daughter of William Ovid and Edith Hilda (Hammond) Toadvine.

Loreine grew up in Elkhart and graduated from Elkhart High School. She married Richard Addington on August 13, 1947, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they farmed and raised cattle in Texas County, Oklahoma. Loriene loved to cook and was also an accomplished baker. She spent many hours tending her flower gardens. Loreine attended the First United Methodist Church in Elkhart.

Loreine is survived by daughter, Cammy Harrold and husband Dale of Liberal; brother, Jim Toadvine and wife Karen of Elkhart; grandchildren, Pamela Kay Bell of Wichita, Michael Addington and Mica Nave both of Elkhart; great-grandchildren, Haley and Dylan Lewis, Shaylee and Lance Addington, Clayson, and Regan Nave.

Loreine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; son, Victor Lee Addington; and brother, Bill Toadvine.

Graveside service is Friday, August 7, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart with Pastor Ed Richards officiating. Visitation is Friday, August 7, 2020, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Elkhart, Kansas.
