Lonnie James Toole

Lonnie James Toole, age 61, of Manter, Kansas died Saturday, January 26, 2013 in rural Baca County, Colorado. He was born March 13, 1951 in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of James B. and Juan (Kilgore) Toole.
Lonnie grew up on the Kansas and Colorado state line. He graduated in 1969 from Stanton County High School then attended Panhandle State University. Before farming, Lonnie was a cowboy at Co-op Feedyard and Winger Feedyard. He enjoyed bullriding, hunting, and loved to play with his grandkids. “A friend to all; he lived, had a good life and died”.
Survivors include his parents, James and Juan of Manter, Kansas; two sons, J.W. Toole and wife Tessa of North Platte, Nebraska, Dustin Toole and Shinea Housholder of Liberal, Kansas; brother, Ronald Toole and wife Delores of Manter, Kansas; sister, Debra Fieldgrove and husband Matt of Somerton, Arizona; eight grandchildren, Chance, Destinee, Hope, Kye, Jase, Tatum, Nash and Payzlie.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his brother, Alan Toole.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church in Johnson, Kansas with Pastor Nate Thomas officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the Lonnie Toole Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 715, Johnson, Kansas 67855.
