Lois Margueritte Poer, age 82, died March 22, 2017 at the Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton, KS. She was born November 11, 1934 in Prairie View, KS, the daughter of Berton J and Margueritte I. (Goeken) Brown.
She graduated from Prairie View High School in 1953. She attended Ft. Hays State College at Hays, KS for 2 years.
On June 29, 1958, she married Gareth Drew Poer at Prairie View, KS. He died on December 28, 2014
She had resided in Dighton, KS, Courtland, KS, Moreland, Ks Kinsley, KS and Liberal, KS.
She was a homemaker.

2 Sons Kevin Poer and wife MaryLou Princeton, ID
Mark Poer and wife Traci Ingalls, KS
2 Daughters Jamie Gooch and husband Kyle Hugoton, KS
LuAnn Nelson and husband Jim Liberal, KS
6 Grandchildren Megan Rohrer, Rebecca Hodgson, Wyatt and Ty Poer, Morgan and Brooke Nelson.
2 Great Grandchildren Jack Rohrer and Sage Hodgson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 Brother B.J. Brown 2 Sisters Mila Kimel and Berta VanDiest.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date in the Prairie View Cemetery, Prairie View, KS.
