Lisa Dawn DeHerrera

Lisa Dawn DeHerrera, age 46, died Monday, January 2, 2023, at her home in Hugoton. She was born September 2, 1976, in Hugoton, Kansas, the daughter of Larry and Carol Ann (Hackley) DeHerrera.

Lisa grew up in Elkhart and graduated from Elkhart High School. She has worked for the Stevens County Economic Development, Stevens County Hospital, and currently worked as the office manager at Aqua Shield for the last six years. Lisa enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids, they were her main priority. She also enjoyed having cookouts and growing flowers.

Lisa is survived by her fiancé, Pete Silva of the home; son, Damon Thomason; daughter, Alexus Thomason; and mother, Carol Alexander and Tommy Silva all of Hugoton, Kansas; sister, Mary Ann Swim of Maize, Kansas; six grandchildren; as well as Pete’s children, Brayden Silva of Pratt and Jayden Silva of Hugoton.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Larry DeHerrera and Pete’s grandson, Jaxon Silva.
