Linda Georgella Briggs

Linda Georgella Briggs, age 65, of Johnson, Kansas died Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Stanton County Hospital, Johnson, Kansas. She was born January 10, 1958, in California, the daughter of Lowell and May (Cross) Jones.

Linda grew up in Johnson, Kansas. Linda loved traveling the world where she met her husband of 27 years, Emilio Martinez. She visited places like New York, Las Vegas, Europe and many other places. She then settled back down in Johnson, Kansas, to be close to her family and spend more time with her grandchildren. Family and friends called her a “hippie” because of her curious mind and joyful, loving personality. Linda was known for her giving and going above and beyond for others, especially her family.

She is survived by her husband, Emilio Martinez; children, Ryan Neuman and wife, Tiffany, of Canyon, Texas, and Misty Neuman of Hutchinson, Kansas; grandchildren, Hailea Johnson of Aurora, Colorado, Gavin Neuman of Canyon, Texas, and Avana and Nola Blackburn of Hutchinson, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Finnley Johnson and an unborn child, of Aurora, Colorado; step-mother, Pat Lane and family from Johnson, Kansas, along with numerous friends and family from Oklahoma, Syracuse and Johnson, Kansas.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and May Jones; sister, Tina Roark; and brothers, Edward Holder and John Holder.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 28, 2023, at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson with family officiating.
