Lillian Alice (Wright) Woolery, age 98, of Johnson, Kansas, died Monday, April 16, 2018, at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson, Kansas. She was born September 22, 1919, in Lamar, Missouri, the daughter of Glenn A. and Nellie (Vincent) Wright.

Lillian, a homemaker, moved to Stanton County at the age of 5. After graduating from Johnson High School, Lillian taught at Lonestar School. She also worked on the farm with Floyd, and later sold for Fuller Brush and Watkins Products. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, canning, and playing cards.

Lillian married Floyd Edgar Woolery on December 31, 1937, in Stanton County, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1988.

She is survived by her daughter, Lois Hudgens of Johnson; brother, Cecil Wright of Greeley, Colorado; sister, Fern Kistler of Johnson; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 37 great-great-grandchildren. 

Lillian is preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Vida Maddox and Wanda Jones; brothers, Ivan Wright, Paul Wright, and Gale Wright; sister, Betty Payne; grandson, Michael Hudgens; and granddaughter, Lorri Post Cullison.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church in Johnson, Kansas, with Pastor Kurt Rovenstine officiating. Interment will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery.
