Leslie B. “Les” Bergstrom

Leslie B. “Les” Bergstrom, age 41, passed away late Sunday evening, April 3, 2016, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.
He was born March 18, 1975, at Colorado Springs, Colorado, the son of Bert and Jane (Willis) Bergstrom. As a young boy he attended school in Colorado before moving to Plains in 1985, graduating from Southwestern Heights High School in 1993. He later attended the Liberal Area Vo-Tech, Liberal, Kansas. A longtime area resident, he was involved in ranching, farming, trucking, and was an insurance agent.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and outdoor cooking. During his younger years he participated in the Little Britches Rodeo, going to the National finals in Colorado Springs as a calf roper.
On July 22, 1995 he married Mindy Foster at Plains, Kansas. She survives.

His mother, Jane Bergstrom of Plains, Kansas
A sister, Angela Arviso of Tempe, Arizona
Three nephews, Jeffrey, Vincent, and Steven Arviso of Tempe, Arizona
An aunt and uncle, Linda and Ernie Latham of Amarillo, Texas
He is preceded in death by his father, Bert on August 3, 1989, and a sister, Clara Kay Page on August 21, 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the United Methodist Church, Plains. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. Interment will follow the service in the Plains Cemetery, Plains.
In lieu of flowers the family would welcome memorials to the Les Bergstrom Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
