LaWilda Geraldine (Neese) Nash

LaWilda Geraldine (Neese) Nash 82, died, Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at her
residence in Liberal.

She was born June 7, 1931 the daughter of Melvin C. and Helen (Hart)
Neese in Alva, Oklahoma. She was raised in rural community of Forgan, OK
where she played high school basketball for the Forgan Bulldogs. She
moved to Liberal in 1951 from Beaver, OK

She was employed by C.R. Anthony & Company working upstairs in the dress
department with her mother for many years. She owned and operated the
Mode-O-Day Women’s Dress store for ten years. Later she was employed by
Long’s Clothing store in downtown Liberal and at the Gift Shop in
Southgate Mall for many years before her retirement.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

On Oct 25th 1947 she married Marion Elston “M.E., Jake” Jacobs in
Perryton, TX. He died Aug. 10, 1998. On January 2, 1998 she married
Donald Virgil Nash in Liberal, KS. He survives.

Three sons Stanley Elston Jacobs of Liberal,
Rodney Earl Jacobs of Topeka, KS
Melvin Douglas Jacobs and wife Paula of Topeka,KS.

Three Stepsons: Craig Nash and wife Barbie of Plains, KS
Gregg Nash of New Waverly, TX
Preston Nash and wife Lisa of Scottsdale, AZ.

One brother Earl Norman Neese of Oklahoma City, OK

2 Grandchildren Shane (Jacobs) Etter and Wendy Lyn (Jacobs) Cole.

8 Step Grandchildren are Lyndon Nash, Austin Nash and wife Sandra,
Jordan Nash, Alan Nash, Ryan Nash and wife Stephanie, Andrea Nash,
Audrey Nash, and Amelia Nash.

2 Great grandsons Owen Etter and Douglas Scott Zilch.

4 Step Great grandchildren are Brendon Nash, Jackson Nash, Landon Nash,
and Kayla Nash.

2 Sister in law Terry Neese, of Oklahoma City, OK
Loretta Agee and husband Wessy of Rockport, TX.

Niece Kim Neese and husband Buddy Brown, Great Nieces Emily and Erin
Brown of Oklahoma City, OK.
and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, son Rodney, brother Earl, mother
in law Vergie Nash, and daughter in law Pam.

Memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, April 19, 2014 at
First Baptist Church with Pastor Loren Robinson presiding. Graveside
service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, April 19, 2014 the Liberal
Cemetery.

Visitation time will be 9am to 8pm Friday and 9am to 3 pm Saturday with
the family present to greet friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday at Brenneman
Funeral Home.
