Laura Dawn Nickels Marsh, 58, of Hooker, OK passed away March 17, 2016 at her home.

Laura was born November 17, 1957 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Pat and Betty Wray Nickels. She grew up in Tyrone, Oklahoma then the family moved to Kansas City, Kansas. She moved to Hooker, Oklahoma in 2010.

She enjoyed playing basketball and was on many tournament teams. She loved her dog Winnie, gardened and enjoyed cooking. Anything outdoors was just right for her like camping and fishing. She sang country western songs, was a Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved her grandkids more than anything.

Laura was preceded in death by her dad, Pat Nickels, step father, Bob Ottaway and grandparents, Marvin and Sabra Wray.

Survivors include her mother, Betty of Hooker; two daughters, Shannan Lamm and her husband Michael of Olathe, Kansas, Amber Carrender and her husband, Luke of Overland Park, Kansas; three brothers and their wives, Woody Nickels and Lana of Copper Canyon, Texas, Rick Ottaway and Susan of Batesville, Arkansas, Mark Ottaway and Pamela of Overland Park, Kansas; three sisters, Coreen Jury and husband Larry of Ozawkie, Kansas, Patti Hayworth of Hooker, Oklahoma, Dana Valdez and her husband Victor of Hooker, Oklahoma; MaMaw Marsh had five grandchildren, Laura Wray, Sabra Stoughton-Wray, Drew Stoughton-Wray, Chaise Carrender, Kylie Carrender.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker with Gary Gilpin officiating. An inurnment service will take place at a future date.
