Laura Kay Witzke, 81, died very peacefully and entered into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, August 1, 2020, in Liberal, Kansas.
She was born March 8, 1939 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Harry and June Smith Zehering.

In 1957, Laura graduated from Liberal High School. A short while later, she married the love of her life, Donald Eugene Witzke, on October 2, 1957. She was also a member of many organizations such as, Red Hats, Soroptimist Club, and the Womens Club.

She is the beloved mother of her two daughters, Laura RoxAnn Witzke and Tracie Dawn Hough, both of Liberal, Kansas.

Laura was the proud grandmother of one grandson, Wyatt Eugene Hough.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Eugene Witzke of Liberal, Kansas; sister, Judy Southerland of Liberal, Kansas; stepsister, Shirley Rodger Kays of Auburn, California; and stepbrother, Rex Rodgers of Wichita, Kansas.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and June Smith Zehering; stepbrother, Robert (Buddy) Rodgers; and stepfathers, Ernest Gordan and Carl Rodgers.

Visitation will be Monday, August 3, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, in Liberal, Kansas. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Restlawn Cemetery, 8955 Hwy 83, in Liberal, Kansas.
