LaRue Brune Kiser, age 94, died April 22, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society in Liberal, Kansas.
She was born on September 7, 1927, the daughter of Oscar Brune and Ruth (Gebhard) Brune in Optima, Oklahoma.
LaRue graduated high school from Guymon, Oklahoma in 1949. She received her associate degree in business from Panhandle A&M currently Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma, where she met her husband, Gene.
LaRue married Clifford “Gene” Kiser in the Lutheran Church in Hooker, Oklahoma on September 25, 1948. Together they raised two children, William “Bill”, Larry Dean. Gene proceeded her in death on December 11, 2005.
LaRue worked as a secretary for the Seward County Attorneys Office and John Deere Tractor. She was also a seamstress and owned her own antique shop, My Shoppe. LaRue was a collector of antiques and enjoyed going to garage and estate sales. She was a member of The American Legion Auxiliary and ran the Liberal Chapter of Alateen.
The most important part of her life was her love of the Lord and her church. She was in charge of the Altar Guild at Grace Lutheran Church all of her life and taught Sunday School for many years.

Two grandchildren, Tiffany Kiser Dunnam and husband, Jared
Matthew Aaron Kiser and wife Courtney of Moorestown, New Jersey
Two great grandchildren, Ryan and Jason Kiser
Two step great grandchildren, Auston and Bella Dunnam
Sister, Carolyn Blair of Tishomingo, Oklahoma
Special niece, Donna Brune of Guymon, Oklahoma and
Many other nieces and nephews

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1200 W. 11th Street, Liberal, Kansas with Pastor Mark Wescoatt presiding.
Interment will follow at the Liberal Cemetery in Liberal, Kansas.
