Larry Ward

Larry Ward, 67, of Liberal, passed away on Monday January 5, 2021 at his home.

He was born on June 24, 1953 to Grover Ward and Fannie (Jones) Moore at Chicago, IL.

On October 25, 1972 he married Joyce R. Ricks at Liberal, KS.

Larry was raised by his mother Fannie and step-father Ernest Moore in Chicago. When he was 17 he moved to Dumas, Arkansas then moved to Liberal, KS a year later. Shortly after moving to Liberal he met Joyce, the love of his life. Larry rebuilt small motors and had worked at Electric Motor Service in Liberal for the past 15 years. He enjoyed playing dominoes, shooting pool, detailing cars, visiting with his friends, music and dancing. He and his wife were members of All Nations Church in Liberal.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Minister Joyce; Four Children Theotis D Ward of Kansas City, MO, Angel D Wilson and husband Jeremiah E. Wilson of Liberal, KS, Andrea D Ross and husband Rico Ross of Liberal, KS, and Adrian D Ward and wife Valarie Ward of Liberal, KS; 10 Grandchildren soon to be 11; Two Brothers, Grover “Butch” and Carl Lee; Five Sisters, Jernell, Dixie, Gwen, Pam, and Angel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Bertha Lee Ward, step-father, Ernest Moore, and brother, Sammy,

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service may be held at a later date.
