MEADE – Larry W. Lemaster, age 74, passed away Monday morning, June 3, 2024, at the Fowler Residential Care Center, Fowler, Kansas.
He was born April 26, 1950, at Fowler, Kansas the son of Willis Leroy and Mary Irene (Fletcher) Lemaster. As a young boy he attended school in Meade, graduating from Meade High School in 1968. He later attended Colby Community College. A longtime resident of Meade, he was a retired administrative assistant for Anadarko and had been a first responder for the Meade County EMS for several years.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, the Meade County Historical Society, Friends of the Meade State Lake, and had served on the Economic Development for four years. He enjoyed Indian artifacts, collecting coins, working puzzles, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by a brother James A. Lemaster and wife Kay of Woodward, Oklahoma; a nephew Jimmie and a niece Kim; and several cousins and family.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Larry’s life will be held 10:30 Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Church of the Nazarene with burial to follow in the Graceland Cemetery, both of Meade.
The family would welcome memorials to the Friends of the Meade State Lake or the Fowler Residential Care Center in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
