Larry “Mickey” Watson, 71, of Greeley, passed away surrounded by family on March 10, 2021 in Greeley, Colorado. He was born to Riley and Edna (Edwards) Watson on April 24, 1949 in Perryton, Texas.
He was raised and attended school in Liberal, Kansas. After graduating from Liberal High School, he honorable served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Mickey met Kaylun Foster in November 1985 and they were married on December 31, 1985 in Fort Morgan, Colorado.
Mickey enjoyed writing poetry, following Rockies baseball and hunting. He loved and adored his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a man of faith and a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Greeley.
He is survived by his wife; children, Mickey (Tiffany) Watson, Jenny (Chad) Blair, Nicole Lauck, Rachelle (Jan) Repa and Melissa (David) Perdew; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Bill (Linda) Watson, Jerry (Mary) Watson, Danny (Cindy) Watson, Judy Watson and Lonnie Watson.
Mickey was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Randy, Elizabeth Watson and Genita Sue.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, Monday, March 15, 2021 at Adamson Life Celebration Home in Greeley. Service will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Faith Tabernacle Church in Greeley. To leave condolences for Mickey’s family, www.adamsoncares.com
