Larry Honeman: UPDATE

Larry Honeman, 75, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away at his home Thursday, October 30, 2014.
Larry was born May 15, 1939 on the family farm west of Hooker, the son of Edward Gilbert and Velda Berniece Chappelle Honeman. He attended school in Hooker, graduating from Hooker High School with the Class of 1958. He then attended Panhandle A & M College in Goodwell, Oklahoma.
On November 20, 1959 at the Christian Church in Guymon, He was united in marriage to LaVonne Love. They made their first home on the farm west of Hooker. In 1999 they moved to their home in Hooker.
He farmed all his life, raising wheat, milo and corn.
Larry enjoyed water skiing at Lake Meredith near Amarillo, Texas; and driving his 2007 Corvette.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Estal Gilbert Honeman and nephews Troy and Mike Honeman
Members of the family include his wife, LaVonne of the home; two sons, Mark Honeman of Hooker and Spencer Honeman and his wife Lisa of Hooker; a granddaughter, Haley and one brother, Jim Honeman and his wife Mary Ann of Hooker; niece, Lori Honeman of Austin, Texas; sister in law, Blanche Klecha of Guymon, Oklahoma.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the First Christian Church in Hooker with Rev. Roy Berkley officiating. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home of Hooker, Oklahoma.
Memorials are suggested for a scholarship fund and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.
