Larry Elden Friesen

Larry Elden Friesen, 63, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away March 3, 2014 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Larry was born April 13, 1950 in Liberal, Kansas, the son of Elden E. and Ruby Mae Blehm Friesen. He grew up and attended school in Hooker graduating from Hooker High School with the Class of 1968. He then attended OSU in Stillwater, Oklahoma graduating with a bachelor degree. He returned to Hooker where he farmed with his parents. In 1996 he moved from the farm to Hooker to live and take care of his parents.

Larry worked at the Hooker Cemetery for many years.

He was attended the Victory Center in Guymon, Oklahoma and in 1959 he was baptized in the Christ at the Hugoton, Kansas Christian Church by Pastor Lorts, along with his parents.

Larry enjoyed and was adept in electronics, computers and music.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby, his brother, Michael Lynne, his aunts and uncles, Juanita & Scotty Shroff, Jackie & Jim Keaton and Nelda Gustin.

Survivors include his father, Elden Friesen of Hooker; sister, Diana & Mike Yates of Dickenson, ND; aunts, Delores Tharp of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Josephine & Jim Mitchell of Albuquerque, NM, Alforetta Friesen of Bethany, Oklahoma.

Memorials are suggest for personal use of the family with medical and other recent expenses and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Hooker, Oklahoma with Rev. Charles Mendenhall officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma.
