Larry Dean Busby

Larry Dean Busby, age 68, died on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on February 6, 1953 the son of Leonard C. Busby and Gladys Koehn in Liberal, Kansas.

Larry graduated from Liberal High School in 1971. He married his love of 41 years, Debra Underwood in 1980 in Liberal, Kansas. Together they raised two sons, Larry Jr. and Kenneth and one daughter, Lori. He worked as a Gas Corrosion Technician for DCP Midstream for 41 years. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. Larry was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed BBQing.

Sons, Larry Busby Jr. and

Kenneth Mansell and his wife, Lori all of Liberal

Three grandchildren, Zach, Zeth and Dylan

His sister, Sharon and husband, Andrew Zwick of Pueblo West, Colorado

Larry was preceded in death by both of his parents, Leonard Busby and Gladys Koehn

His stepmother, Wanda Taylor Busby and

His daughter, Lori Busby.

Visitation will be 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Hornung Family Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Street Liberal, Kansas. Family will be present to greet family and friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, April 16, 2021 at First Southern Baptist Church 621 N. Western Avenue Liberal, Kansas officiated by Dr. Jack Jacobs.

Interment will follow at the Restlawn Cemetery.
