PLAINS – Lanny R. Robertson, age 79, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.
He was born February 24, 1938, at Beloit, Kansas, the son of James and Deloris (Watkins) Robertson. As a young boy he attended school in Simpson, Kansas, graduating from Simpson High School. He was a longtime resident of Plains, Kansas.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed horses and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by a son Scott Robertson of Hesston, Kansas; a daughter, Lissa Woods of Buhler, Kansas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Donna Russell and Linda Cory.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Glasco Cemetery, Glasco, Kansas, at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, is in charge of arrangements.
