Kimberly Kay Schmidt

Kimberly Kay Schmidt, 63, passed away on August 1, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on April 20, 1961, in Hutchinson, Kansas.

She proudly graduated from Hutchinson High School in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Kim’s journey through life was marked by compassion and dedication. For 14 years, she served as a Certified Assistant (CNA) a nursing home in Hutchinson. Her care and kindness touched the lives of many during her tenure.

Kim and Loren Schmidt were married on December 8, 2008 in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Kim found joy in simple yet meaningful activities. She had a talent for crocheting and shared a love for gardening with her husband, Loren.

Kim was preceded in death by her father James Alvin Boshears and son Brandon Chambers.

Kim leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by those closest to her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Loren Schmidt of Ulysses, KS; her mother Carmen Tenorio and stepfather Alberto of Hutchinson, KS; her daughter Carissa Chambers of Hutchinson, KS; two brothers, Joseph Boshears and wife Jennifer of Derby, KS; Edward Boshears and wife Shelley of Wichita, KS; granddaughter Aslyn Chambers; along with other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Robson Funeral Home, Ulysses, Kansas.

In remembrance of Kim’s life, a Funeral Service will be held at Country View Baptist Church in Ulysses on August 7, 2024 at 10 A.M. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Golden Cemetery in Ulysses.
