Kermit L. Nipple

Kermit L. Nipple , 64, died Saturday, February 15, 2014 at St. Francis Via Christie Hospital in Wichita, KS.

He was born September 14, 1949 at Hardner, KS, the son of Lester and Rose (Downing) Nipple.

He married Janice Hill at the First Christian Church in Liberal on December 31, 1974. She survives.

Kermit was a graduate of Moscow High School, Class of 1967 in Moscow, KS and also a Graduate of a Culinary College in Ottawa, KS.In 1989 Kermit purchased the 2nd Street Book Store in Liberal. Before purchasing the bookstore he was a Chef at the Liberal Country Club, Chuckwagon, Liberal Inn and other local restaurants.

His survivors include 4 Brothers – Stanley Nipple and wife Bonnie of Liberal, KS, Fredrick Nipple and wife Diantha of Alamosa, CO, Donald Napell and wife Janice of Hays, KS, Cary Alexander and wife Muriel of Hays, KS. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be 12:00 Noon – 8:00 pm Wednesday, February, 19, 2014 at Miller Mortuary.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Thursday February, 20 2014 at the Moscow Methodist Church in Moscow, KS with Tim McCrary officiating.

Cremation will follow the service.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association in care of Miller Mortuary.
