Kenneth Clinton McKee, age 87, of Manter, Kansas, died Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at his home in rural Stanton County, Kansas. He was born March 12, 1930, in Cimarron, Kansas, the son of Charles E. and Luella L. (Feldman) McKee.
Kenneth was a lifetime resident of Stanton County, serving in the United Air Force. He farmed, and worked for Stanton County Road Department for 30 years. Kenneth enjoyed watching his grandkids participate in their school activities. He was also an avid sportsman, and lifetime member of Johnson VFW Post #3684. His hobbies included reading and watching western movies.
Kenneth married Dorothy Martin on December 18, 2004, in Fort Dodge, Kansas. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Bryan McKee of Cimarron, Kansas, and Tom McKee and wife Leanne of El Dorado, Kansas; sister, Mary Lou Young of Dodge City, Kansas; four grandchildren, Clinton, Riley, Trent and Anna; and three great-grandchildren, Kinley, Carter, and Chloe.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Walter McKee.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 26, 2017, at United Methodist Church in Manter, Kansas with Pastor Mary Courtney and Pastor Jay Stapelton officiating. Flag presentation will be conducted by Johnson VFW Post #3684 following service. Family inurnment will be at a later date at the Stanton County Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.
