Kay Evans, of Blanco, Texas, passed away on January 5, 2024, at her home. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and grandmother. Kay was born on April 10, 1957, in Muleshoe, Texas to Bill and Patsy Evans.
She graduated from high school in Satanta, Kansas. After completing her education, she embarked on the joyous journey of motherhood and raised her two children, Billy and Lisa. Kay had a passion for sewing and crocheting and took immense pride in her skillful craftsmanship.
Kay is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Robert Shaffer and also leaves behind, her son Billy Lozar wife Jodi and daughter Lisa Kay.
In addition to her immediate family, Kay is survived by her brothers Shorty Evans (Marty) and Steve Evans (Tamra). She also leaves behind three step-children, Dana James, Michelle Shull (Kent), and Danielle Owen (David). Kay’s presence will be dearly missed by her cherished grandchildren, Kelli (Kolby), Kaeden, C.J.(Faith), Cheyanne (James), Jamie, Alyissa, Abby, Bridgett, Dale, Mason, and Gunther. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Jiovonni, Jase, Kinslee, and Blakely as well as a host of other loving relatives and many dear friends.
Kay’s warm and caring nature touched the lives of many. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her.
Weather permitting, graveside services will be held January 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Dudley Township Cemetery, Satanta, KS.
Following the graveside services, the family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Satanta, Apache St., Satanta, KS.
