Katie Marie Pauda

Katie Marie Pauda, age 28, of Ulysses, Kansas died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her home in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born February 20, 1986 in Ulysses, Kansas, the daughter of Luciano Sr. and Olga (Romero) Pauda.

Katie grew up in Ulysses and graduated from Ulysses High School. She helped her Mother at The Goody Shop. Katie enjoyed listening to music and singing. She was a very compassionate and kind person always putting others before herself. She loved her brothers and was a good aunt to her nieces and nephews. Katie loved spending time with her friends, and always made sure she gave everyone a hug.

She is survived by her parents of Ulysses, Kansas; brothers, Moises Pauda and Luciano L. Pauda Jr. both of Ulysses, Kansas, Marciano Pauda of Sterling, Colorado; half-sister, Leslie Torres of Laveen, Arizona; grandmother, Geneva Pauda; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Katie is preceded in death by her grandparents, David and Gloria Romero, and grandfather, Marcelino Pauda Sr.

Vigil service will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 7:00 PM and funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, Kansas with Reverend Peter Fernandez officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
