Karla Diann Holder Moore, 60, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

She was born Dec. 17, 1955 to Kenneth and Ann (Grider) Johnson in Liberal.

She married Randy Moore Sept. 24, 2016, in Dodge City. He survives.

She was a lifelong resident of Liberal, where she graduated from Liberal High School in 1974. She attended Garden City Community College in Garden City, and obtained her Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic certifications.

She was employed as a paramedic with the Seward County Emergency Medical Services. She also worked for Eagle Med as a flight medic for two years. She also worked at Southwest Medical Center in the Emergency Room.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She dedicated herself in saving the lives of others. She also had a great love for animals and spending time with family.

Survivors also include her father; sons, Kevin Holder and wife DeLainy, Liberal, Kenton Holder and wife Tracy, Lawrence; stepdaughters, Lacy J’ann Gorrie, Lubbock, Texas, and Kaci DeShae Cooper, Lubbock, Texas; brother, David Johnson, Liberal; four grandchildren: Evan Michael Holder, Braden Christopher Holder, Cecilia Lynn Holder, and Maddex David Holder; six step-grandchildren: Tyler Scott Cooper, Hagen Randall Cooper, Rylee Jade Cooper, Hannah Lynn Geeslin, John Kellan Avery and Emma Rose Gorrie; and nephews, Dustin and Preston Johnson, Liberal.

She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.

• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Liberal with Rev. Keith Anglemyer presiding.

Burial will take place at the Liberal Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 at Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal.

In lieu of flowers and plants, memorial contributions may be made to Liberal Rape Crisis Center or Angels for Animals in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, Kansas 67901.
