Karen Laverne Snook, 79, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away October 26, 2017 at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Karen was born December 28, 1937 in Wheeler, Texas, the daughter of Slayton and Lorene Turner Christie. She grew up and attended school in Wheeler. She moved to Burns Flat and Sayer, Oklahoma be for moving to Hooker where she worked for Mill’s Ideal for thirty years.

Karen was united in marriage to Roy Samuel Snook on March 25, 1994 in Spearman, Texas. Roy passed away November 29, 2013.

She enjoyed bingo, gardening and arrowhead hunting. Karen and Roy enjoyed horseshoes and went to tournaments.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy; son Joe Chavedo and daughter, Debra Hanks.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy and Reneann Chavedo of Amarillo, Texas, Tony Chavedo of Hooker, Oklahoma; two daughters, Gayla Miller of Hooker, Oklahoma, Sharon Patterson of Moore, Oklahoma; four brothers, Chris Christie of Oklahoma, Mark

Memorial services at a later date. Arrangement is by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma.
