Karen K. Cobb, age 78, passed away early Thursday morning, October 15, 2020, at the Lone Tree Retirement Center, Meade, Kansas.
She was born March 19, 1942, at Liberal, Kansas, the daughter of Glen Earl and Belle (Williams) Fox. As a young girl, she attended the Plains Grade School and later Plains High School, graduating in 1960.
On August 20, 1960, she married Garvin D. Cobb in Plains, Kansas. After their marriage, the couple made their home in Plains for many years before moving to Meade.
She enjoyed working in her yard, making cards and other crafts, painting, working puzzles, taking walks, and spending time with her family. She was very detail oriented at everything she did, whether it was working for someone, or creating something beautiful at home. She loved making all the holidays extra special for her grandkids by dying Easter eggs or carving jack-o-lanterns with them.
She is survived by her children, Ginger Borth and husband John of rural Meade, Jamey Cobb and wife Betty of Liberal, Kansas; two sisters, Vicki Fisher and husband Tommy of Meade, Kansas, and Myra Christerson and husband Kenny of Anderson, Missouri; four grandchildren, Devenie Ross and husband Kyle of Meade, Jagger Borth of rural Meade, Trenten Cobb of Liberal, Kansas and Kaleigh Chapman and husband Roy of Hinesville, Georgia; and one great-grandchild Tidus Cobb of Liberal, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Garvin on April 2, 2020, and her parents.
A graveside service will be held at the Plains Cemetery, Plains, Kansas, at a later date.
The family would welcome memorials to be given to an organization of the donor’s choice in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
