Karen Jean Pate

Karen Jean Pate, 63 years old, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Stevens County Hospital, in Hugoton, Kansas. The daughter of Lyle Arthur and Nole Ferne (Prather) Pate, she was born March 30, 1959, in Hugoton, Kansas.

Growing up Karen loved to ride horses and being outside. Her passion for all animals could be seen daily in her life, her cat of 12 years Ace, was one of her favorites.

Karen was a rural mail carrier for the USPS for 17 years, she had many good friends on her mail route.

Her greatest love in life was her only child, Lucas Munson.

She will be greatly missed by many friends and family.

Survivors include son, Lucas Munson, Hugoton, KS.; two brothers, Gary Pate and Danny Pate, Cassville, MO.; many cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Judy Rae Pate, Nancy Kay Pate, Linda Marie Pate; brother, Monty Jay Pate.

Cremation has taken place and no service at this time.
