Junior J. Foxworthy, age 90, of Ulysses, Kansas, died Sunday, December 15, 2019, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kansas. He was born January 17, 1929, in Versailles, Missouri, the son of Jimmy and Monte Foxworthy.

Junior grew up in Missouri. As a young man, he worked in a factory. He served in the US Army Air Forces during the Korean War. After an honorable discharge, he worked in Kansas City, Missouri, then moved to California and was a supervisor for the city of La Harbor. He retired and moved to eastern Kansas and was a house painter. Junior moved to Ulysses in 2006. He married Nina Foxworthy on May 25, 2007, in Ulysses. Junior enjoyed fishing, camping, and attending senior citizen dances. He was an avid fan of the KC Chiefs football and KC Royals baseball teams.

Junior is survived by his wife, Nina of the home; step-daughter, Beverly Milburn of Ulysses; brother, Aubrey; and sister, Laura Margaret.

Junior is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Funeral service will be Thursday, December 19, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses with Pastor James Berry officiating. Interment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery with military rites by Dexter D. Harbour American Legion Post #79. Memorial contributions may be given to Junior Foxworthy Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
