Judy spent her career in banking for 48 years. She worked for 29 years at Woodhaven National Bank. For the past five years, she worked in Human Resources at Pinnacle Bank in the Dallas/Ft. In her free time, she enjoyed going to the movies, traveling to New York City during the Christmas season, attending multiple Doobie Brothers and Rolling Stones concerts, as well as many OU football games. She also loved spending time with her family, planting flowers and maintaining their swimming pool. She also loved her cats.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Melvin and Jimmie; her brother, Keith; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include her husband, Steve, of the home; her son, Michael (Cami) of Palestine, Texas; grandchildren, Riley Armstrong, Alyson Armstrong and Colton Armstrong; twin sister, Janet (Alan) Freeman of Liberal, Kan.; and brother, Steven (Lori) Merz of Liberal, Kan.
