Juanita (Jones) Whetstone

Juanita (Jones) Whetstone, 74 years old, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She was the daughter of Bernerd and Lucinda (Hummingbird) Jones and was born April 12, 1948, Ottawa, Illinois.

She and Robert (Bob) Whetstone were married on October 1, 1969, at Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2017.

She attended Freewill Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She really enjoyed going to church with her family.

Juanite was a very loving person and enjoyed her family and friends. Her hobbies were crocheting, cross stitch, and reading.

Survivors include two sons, Johnny Dunback, Kansas City, KS., Todd Whetstone, Liberal, KS.; daughter, Shelley Porter, St. Mary’s, GA., sister, Wanda Jones Phillips, Oklahoma City, OK.; five grandchildren, one great grandchildren and relatives and friends.

He was preceded by her parents, son, Eddie Dunback, infant son, Anthony Whetstone and daughter-in-law, Shannan Whetstone.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton, Kansas at 11 AM.
