Juan Bernardo Madrid Debora, age 34, of Ulysses, Kansas died Sunday, October 18, 2015 at his home in Ulysses, Kansas. He was born May 20, 1981 in Sombrerete, Zacatecas Mexico, the son of Juan Madrid Hidalgo and Beatriz Debora (Tamayo).
Juan was the owner of Madrid Trucking Inc. He married Erika Judith Landeros in May 2000. Juan attended Primera Iglesia Bautista for 17 years and taught adult Sunday school classes. Juan enjoyed reading his Bible, spending time with family, and cookouts with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Erika of their home; son, Juanito Madrid and daughter, Naomi Madrid both of the home; mother, Beatriz Debora of Ulysses, Kansas; siblings, Maria de la Luz Amador of Ulysses, Kansas, Maria Madrid of Ulysses, Kansas, Manuel Madrid of Texas, Maria Ramos of Ulysses, Kansas, Carmen Madrid of Ulysses, Kansas, Candelaria Madrid of Ulysses, Kansas, Claudia Saquiz of Liberal, Kansas, Gilberto Madrid of Ulysses, Kansas; and grandfather, Ruperto Debora.
Juan is preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, Tereso Madrid and Julia Hidalgo, maternal grandmother, Antonia Tamayo; and uncle, Mauro Debora.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Primera Iglesia Bautista in Ulysses, Kansas with Pastor Manuel P. Perez officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses, Kansas. Friends may call from 5:00 PM on Monday, October 19, 2015 until service time at Primera Iglesia Bautista in Ulysses.
