Joyce Faye Pearson, 81, of Canyon, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019.

A private memorial service was held in Joyce’s backyard and was attended by family, friends and neighbors whom she held dear.

Joyce was born on April 2, 1938 to Fred and Mary Quigley Chadd. She married Dennis Peier in 1958 and he preceded her in death in 1966. In 1967, she married Jimmy Pearson. He preceded her in death in 2011.

Joyce was a housewife for many years. She loved basketball, especially the Kentucky Wild Cats. She served people by taking care of their dogs.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Chadd Peier and a brother, Ronnie Chadd.

Survivors include her two daughters, Nancy Story of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Stacy Wright and husband, Joel of Canyon; grandchildren, Elliot, Rebecca, and John Story, Macy Boren and husband, Brice, Matthew Wright and Mallory Wright; and a sister, Lois Gritz.
