Joshua M. Schwindt, loving husband, father, papa, and son, 42, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021, Morton County Hospital, Elkhart, Kansas.

The son of Daryl Eugene and Lela Faye (Clinkingbeard) Schwindt. He was born September 20, 1978, Boise City, Oklahoma.

Josh married the love of his life Shawn Marie Miller on July 3, 1999, in Rolla, Kansas. He was a loving husband and loved Shawn dearly.

Of all things, Josh’s biggest compassion was his family. He was a family man and loved them all dearly. Josh taught them many things, but he made sure they knew how to change a tire and be self-sustainable. Of his many talents grilling and providing scrumptious meals was on top of the list. He enjoyed cooking when they went camping. He was a hard worker and worked for Light Farms for many years. He loved and enjoyed working.

Josh was a part of the Rolla Fire Department for many years. He was a past member of the NRA. He enjoyed all things Kansas City Chiefs.

He is survived by loving wife, Shawn Schwindt; two sons, Jordan Schwindt, and wife Ashtyn, Jaxon Schwindt; two daughters, Karessa Schwindt and Deserae Schwindt, all of Rolla, KS.; mother, Lela Schwindt, Rolla, KS., brother, Jeramie Schwindt, and wife Tina, Lawton, OK.; sister, Brandy Stewart, and husband Sean, Vinita, OK., five grandchildren, Reaghann, Evelyn, Drake, Gracie, Jameson; and many other relatives and friends.

Josh was preceded in death by his father, Daryl and paternal grandparents, Duane and Waunita Ferguson, and the late Benjamin Franklin Schwindt, maternal grandparents, Leonard and Clara Clinkingbeard.

A memorial has been established for Rolla Hope, in care of Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 606, Elkhart, KS 67950.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021, 2 PM to 8 PM and Thursday, August 19, 2021, 10 AM to 8 PM, Robson Funeral Home, Elkhart.

Funeral service will be held Friday, August 20, 2021, 10 AM, Rolla High School Gymnasium. Burial to follow at Rolla Cemetery.

Robson Funeral Home, Elkhart is in charge of arrangements.
