Josephine (Jo) E. Ewing

Josephine (Jo) E. Ewing, 86, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at High Plains Retirement Village, Lakin, Kansas.

The daughter of Lewis Peter and Maudie Mae (Pinner) and she was born on September 22, 1935, in El Dorado, Kansas.

Jo and Robert Lynn were married on November 15, 1952, in Quanah, Texas. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2014.

Jo was a member of the Satanta Baptist Church, Satanta, Kansas. She enjoyed helping and attending women’s bible study.

Jo work for Satanta Long Term Care Unit as a Social Worker for many years. She loved and enjoyed the nurses and the residents.

Jo loved her family and enjoyed having them at the house for family get-togethers. She loved to read and cook.

Survivors include son, Darrell, and wife Ada Ewing, Gypsum, CO.; six grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded by her husband Robert, daughter Tamara Reece, grandson, Heath Stanley, brothers, and sisters.

A memorial has been established for the Satanta First Baptist Church. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 747, Satanta, KS 67870.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 2 P.M. at Satanta Baptist Church, Satanta, Kansas with Pastor Rod Klingsick presiding. Burial following at Dudley Township Cemetery, Satanta, Kansas.
