Josephine Rorabaugh, 95, of Liberal, Kansas died, Saturday, February 02, 2019 at Wheatridge Park Care Center, Liberal.
She was born to Nanke Rademaker and Bertha Arnold Rademaker on September 27, 1923 in Emden, Illinois.
She attended school at Hartsburg, Illinois. and graduated in 1941. She attended Business College at Bloomington, Illinois.
Josephine was united in marriage to Doyle Edgar Rorabaugh on December 2, 1945 in Emden, Illinois. He died August 14, 2003.
Before her marriage she was a secretary/typist for State Farm Insurance Co.
Josephine and Doyle lived and farmed in Balko for 50 years. Her main focus was family, sewing, making clothing and an excellent Cook.
Josephine loved to play cards with family and friends who all enjoyed her good sense of humor. She was a fan of Balko sports and music programs. She enjoyed watching all sports on TV and traveling with her husband. She enjoyed the gatherings with family in Illinois. She went to her 75th Class Reunion in 2016 and took her final trip to see family in Emden in 2017, traveled by Amtrak.
Josephine is survived by her Sons; Teryl (Donna) of Liberal, Kansas and Rex (Opal) of Oklahoma City Oklahoma. Daughters; Rita (Kent) Knop of Guymon, Oklahoma. and Rene (Richard) Wester, Liberal, Kansas.
Grandmother of Teri Harp, Brett Rorabaugh, Chad Knop, Kurt Knop, Kara Claborn, Kristin Mantell, Dave Rorabaugh, Zachary Wester, Luke Wester and Jacob Wester. There are 13 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Doyle, an infant son Doyle
Lynn, Brothers Walter, Arnold, Ralph, Sisters Ruth and Rachel.
Visitation will be Monday February 4th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 West 2nd Street, Liberal
Funeral service will 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 5th, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1200 West 11th St, Liberal. Pastor Andrew Wehling will officiate.
Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery Perryton, Texas on Tuesday, February 5th at 2:30 PM.
Memorials may be made in Josephine’s name to Grace Evangelical Church
