Jose Barragan

Jose Trinidad Barragan, 63, of Liberal, Kansas died Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

He was born March 19, 1957 at Cartagena Nuevo Ideal Durango, Mexico, the son of Ambrosio Barragan and Alejandra Alday de Barragan.

He married Maria Clara A. Acosta on September 14, 1995 at Nuevo Ideal Durango, Mexico; she survives.

Jose had worked for Seaboard Farms in Guymon, Oklahoma. He enjoyed traveling to Mexico to see his tractor and work the crops on his farm. Jose was a kind, humble, and gentle man who loved spending time with his wife Clara and his family.

Jose is also survived by Two Brothers- Fortino Barragan and wife Anita of California, Nicacio Barragan and wife Marielena of Liberal, Kansas; Sister- Maria Del Carmen Barragan de Lopez and husband Miguel of Liberal, Kansas; Stepbrother- Fidel Barragan and wife Juanita Solorasano of California; several Nieces & Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother- German Barragan, Stepbrother- Aurelio Barragan, Stepsister- Celia Barragan,

Due to our current guidelines regarding mass gatherings and for the protection of our friends & loved ones throughout the community, the family has requested no public viewing.

Due to CDC guideline’s restricting gathering size at Funeral Services, Jose’s family will be having a Private Family-Only Graveside Service on Friday May 29th at 10:00 am. The service will be Live Streamed on our Miller Mortuary Facebook page. We encourage use of our web site tributes and Facebook to offer condolences and support to the family.
