Jose Angel Pauda

Jose Angel Pauda, age 59, of Ulysses, Kansas, died Monday, March 20, 2023, at his daughter’s home in Ulysses. He was born August 27, 1963, in Lubbock, Texas, the son of Marcelino B. Sr. and Geneva (Felan) Pauda.

Angel grew up in Ulysses. He married Ronda Hines on March 16, 1988, in Ulysses. He worked for Pauda Rousabout and L. Pauda Services. Angel collected teddy bears, and enjoyed camping, cruising, and collecting antiques and pickups, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids; and was loved by many.

Angel is survived by his wife, Ronda of their home; children, Angel Nickcole Pauda and Alyssa Strickert of Garden City, Kansas, Christine Reyes and husband Eduardo of Ulysses, Emilio Pauda of Ulysses, Valentino Pauda and Jennifer Reyes Jimenez of Shawnee, Kansas; brothers, Jesse Pauda and wife Mary of Lubbock, Texas, Louie Pauda and wife Olga of Ulysses, Joe Pauda of Ulysses, Albert Pauda of Dodge City, Bill Pauda and wife Larisa of Liberal, and Sammy Pauda and wife Michelle of Ulysses; sister, Irene Sosa of Ulysses; five grandchildren, Yandel Reyes, Edward Deangelo Reyes, Lucas Marcel Reyes, Nicholas Trenton Pauda, and Valentino Pauda, Jr; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Angel is preceded in death by his parents, Marcelino Sr. and Geneva Pauda; brothers, Robert and Mark Pauda; sisters, Geneva Ramos, Irma Pando and Dominga Esquivel; two nieces and two great-nieces.
