Johnny Wayne Davis

Johnny Wayne Davis, 58 died Friday, June 6, 2014 at St Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City, KS.

He was born July 1, 1955 at Beaver, Ok, the son of Wilbur and Dorothy (Harness) Davis.

He married Debbie Dixon in June of 1977 at Liberal, KS.

Johnny attended Liberal, KS schools. He also joined the US Marine Corp where he received an Honorable Discharge. After coming back to Liberal from serving in the Marines he worked at Ideal Grocery and Clingan Tires before joining Sunflower Electric Corp in 1977 working his way up to Operator Tech. He retired from Sunflower Electric on Januray 14, 2014 after 36 years of service.

He was an avid reader, and enjoyed woodcarving, fishing, black powder hunting and bow hunting.

His survivors include one daughter: Jennifer Davis of Tyrone, OK; one so: Randy Davis of Liberal, KS; two brothers: Mike Davis and wife Traci of Okmulgee, OK, David Davis of Ft Stockton, TX; one sister, Carolyn Mouser and husband Austin of Liberal, KS; two granddaughters: Jordann Davis of Tyrone, OK, Trinity Davis of

La Salle, CO; one grandson: Andrew Davis of La Salle, CO.

A family & friend Graveside Committal will be 10:00 AM Tuesday June 10, 2014 and the Plains Cemetery in Plains, KS.

There will be no visitation as Cremation has taken place.

The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society in care of Miller Mortuary.
