Johnny Berg, 44, died May 18, 2019 near Moscow as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on September 27, 1974 in Canada, the son of Wilhelm and Elena (Penner) Berg.
Johnny moved to the United States in 1992 He married Mary Sawatzky on March 5, 1995 in Seminole TX. They moved to Sublette in 2001 where start his trucking business, Harvest Transport. He enjoyed spending time with family, serving at church, and mentoring men one on one and in Men’s Encounter Groups.
He was an active member of the Living Gospel Church in Sublette.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; five children, Dylan, Savanna, Megan, Zylah, and Colten all of the home; his mother, Elena Berg of Sublette; one brother, Benny Berg and wife Anna of Alberta, Canada; two sisters, Agnes Peters and husband Abe of Sublette and Christina Redekop and husband Johnny of Mexico. He is preceded in death by his father, Wilhelm Berg.
Funeral service will be held at Living Gospel Church, Sublette, on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Pastors Gerhard Penner, John Froese and Pete Dyck presiding. A private family burial will be at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Sublette on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from noon to 8:00 PM.
