John Robert Obholz

John Robert Obholz, age 72, died on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover, Kansas.

He was born on May 1, 1951, the son of John and Geraldine (Price) Obholz in Pulaski, Tennessee.

John was a dedicated meat cutter who served at Obholz Meats, Ideal, Boogarts, and Dillons for 28 years. His commitment to his craft and his loyalty to the various establishments he worked for were truly commendable.

However, beyond his professional life, John’s proudest accomplishments centered around his family. On July 22, 1989, he entered a loving marriage with Dona Stegman in Dodge City, Kansas. Together they built a life filled with love and shared memories.

One of John’s greatest joys in life was being a father to his three beloved sons: Jason, Brian, and Johnny, and papa to his grandchildren. He took great pride in watching them grow and guiding them through life’s many challenges. May he rest in peace knowing that he touched the lives of many with his kindness and unwavering spirit. He loved watching his grandchildren, and their sports and other activities. John loved all his family and was the life of the party, and always knew how to make someone laugh. He loved his Chiefs, casinos, and EBAY. John also loved fishing even though he didn’t always catch any fish.
