Jimmie C. Navarrette

Jimmie C. Navarrette, 91, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kansas.

He was the son of Nicholaus and Martha (Castillon) Navarrette. He was born on July 25, 1932, in Munday, Texas.

He and Maria Acuna were married on January 15, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas. Maria passed away on November 12, 2001.

Jimmie enjoyed gardening, watching baseball, football and old westerns.

Jimmie loved and enjoyed his family. His family said he made the best pancakes.

Jimmie survived by five sons, Jimmie Navarrette and wife Barbara, Clayton, IN., Richard C. Navarrette, Wichita, KS., Bobby Ray Navarrette, Medicine Lodge, KS., Michael A. Navarrette, Wichita, KS., Jamie Gutierrez and wife Amber, Ulysses, KS.; daughter, Margaret Barbabosa and husband, Rafael, San Diego, CA.; two brothers, Marty Navarette, Munday, TX., Nicolaus Navarette, TX.; two sisters, Beatrice Reyes, Munday, TX., Martha Contante, Odam TX., a daughter-in-law, Victoria Navarrette, San Antonio, TX., 14 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Mary Navarrette, son, Gilbert Navarrette, five brothers, Tony, Santos, David, Paul and Martin Navarrette.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 10 A.M. at Robson Funeral Home, Ulysses, KS. Burial will follow at Ulysses Cemetery.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. at Robson Funeral Home, Ulysses, KS.
