Jesse Leroy Ellis

Jesse Leroy Ellis, 64, of Liberal, passed away on Thursday July 18, 2024 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.

He was born on July 27, 1959 to Junior and Pauline (McMayhill) Ellis at Denver, CO.

Jess was a graduate of Turpin High School, class of 1978. Spending time with his grandchildren was one of his greatest joys. Jess also enjoyed watching Turpin football, he rarely missed a game. Jess was a handyman. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling, racing and softball. He worked as a Compressor Mechanic for Oneok, retiring in 2022.

Jess is survived by his Two Daughters, Jennifer Montenegro and husband Obed of League City, TX; Crystal Ratzlaff and husband Dave of Turpin, OK; 10 Grandchildren; Four Great Grandchildren; Brother, James Ellis of Springfield, MO, several Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, and Sister, June Canterbury.

There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place per Jesse’s wishes.

The family suggests Memorial Donations be made to the Turpin Football Team in care of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
