Jerry Alvin Swallow

Jerry Alvin Swallow, 64, of Forgan, Oklahoma passed away January 10, 2021 at Tyrone, Oklahoma.

Jerry was born January 8, 1957 in Beaver, Oklahoma, the son of Kenneth Merle and Mary Addie Chester Swallow. He grew up and attended school in Forgan, Oklahoma graduating from Forgan High School.

He began work with Beech Aircraft in Liberal, Kansas for seven years. He then worked for the Beaver Sandhills State Park and later at Alabaster Caverns in Freedom, Oklahoma.

He drove for Swans and then began working for National Beef in Liberal for five years. He was a cub scout leader and a member of the Forgan Firefighters for twenty years.

 For the past eight years he has been with Jill Swartz of Tyrone, Oklahoma

Jerry liked football and hunting. He was part of local Rendezvous-Mountain Men at Willow Rock near Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Ft. Supply, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Dean “Bud” Swallow.

Survivors include Jill Swartz of Tyrone, Oklahoma; three stepdaughters, Jamie and Troy Lawrence of Sedgwick, Kansas, Rici and Eddie Swartz of Colwich, Kansas, Keli Swartz of Tyrone, Oklahoma; his sister, Frances and Jim Mitchell of Beaver, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Garrett Rogers, Taylor Rogers and Saige Rogers; niece and nephews, Ron Keith Swallow of Laverne, Oklahoma, Marci Rene Overton and Jeremey Allen Overton both of Woodward, Oklahoma.

Services will be announced by the family in the future.
