Jeff Hazelton

Jeff Hazelton, 85, Liberal, KS, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012
at Satanta District Hospital, Satanta, KS.

He was born January 16, 1927 at Ingalls, KS, the son of
Thomas J. & Vera V. Vath Hazelton.

He attended school at Ingalls, KS. He drove truck for Fairmont
Dairy, Dodge City. Moving to Liberal in 1951, he continued to drive truck, for Blakemore Brothers and Nash-Finch for many years, retiring in 1992.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Brownsville, TX.

On June 19, 1948 he married Jewell B. Jones at Joplin, MO,
she died January 20, 2005.

He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Naab and husband Kim,
Liberal, KS; Regina Long and husband Bruce, Bella Vista, AR;
four sisters, Jo Hazelton, New York, NY; Laree Villers, Westcliffe, CO;
La Von Arlbogast and husband Larry, Wichita, KS; Ida Hazelton, NM; nine grandchildren & eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Lowell, Rex, Lee & Mike Hazelton, one sister Helen Dunning, two sons Richard & Rodney Hazelton, three grandchildren T. J. Long, Gordon Monroe & Sara Long.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Miller
Chapel with Carleen Hazelton presiding.

Interment will be in the Liberal Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary 9 A.M.-8 P.M. Friday and
9 A.M. until service time.

The family suggests memorials to Alzheimers Assoc. in care of the
mortuary.
