Jason L. Riley, age 44, of Wichita, Kansas died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in Wichita, Kansas.  He was born January 5, 1970 in Burbank, California, the son of Gary and Sherie (Willimon) Riley.

Jason grew up in Elkhart and moved to Ulysses when he was a sophomore in high school, he graduated from Ulysses High School in 1988. He attended St. Mary’s of the Plains College in Dodge City, Kansas and transferred to Fort Hays State University. He worked at Riley Chevrolet in Ulysses and managed Riley Dodge in Ulysses. Jason volunteered with the Grant County Fire Department and EMS. He moved to Wichita in 2000 where he worked in Computer Technology. He was currently working in nursing as a Nurse Supervisor at a Care facility in Wichita, Kansas. 

Jason loved his dog Shilo, enjoyed trapshooting, working with computers, and 50-60’s music.

Jason is survived by parents, Gary and Sherie Riley of Ulysses Kansas, and sister Dana Riley Trahern and husband Stacy, nephew, Chase and niece Hailey all of Ulysses, Kansas

Jason is preceded in death by grandparents.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Oasis Church in Ulysses, Kansas with Pastor Kris Humphrey officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses, Kansas. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to the Grant County EMS in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
