Janet Kay Sutton

Janet Kay Sutton, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 30, 2023, at the age of 80 years old, in her hometown of Hugoton, Kansas, surrounded by loved ones. Janet was born in Hugoton on December 15, 1942, to Cecil and Dorothy Lynch.

Janet graduated from Hugoton High School and led an incredible life full of love and kindness. She was known for her hard-working nature and compassionate personality that touched everyone she met. She was a dedicated member of Hugoton United Methodist Church.

Janet’s proudest accomplishments included being a part of the Hugoton Pollyanna’s, in which she enjoyed helping the young girls be apart of the pageant. In addition to this, Janet enjoyed sewing, flowers, China painting stained glass, and yard work.

The visitation will occur on June 2nd, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Robson Funeral Home in Hugoton.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Sovereign Redeemer Church in Hugoton, Kansas—burial to follow at Hugoton Cemetery with Pastor Eric Mason presiding.

Janet is survived by her companion Pete Saltzman; a son, Todd Sutton, and wife, Anita; a daughter, Debra Mueller, and husband, Rod; four grandchildren, Hyatt Sutton, and Jay Mueller, along with his wife, Jacy, Josie Cromer, along with her husband Kolton and Yates Sutton and his fiancé Taylor Fiss; two great-grandchildren Kash Cromer and Herbert Mueller.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Dorothy Lynch; her husband, William Sutton; two brothers, Gary Lynch, and Roger Lynch.

We remember Janet for her warmth that emanated from within whenever we were around her. Her beautiful personality enriched every life she touched. She was a beacon of love that shone brightly and inspired us all.
